A competition on skiroller does need slightly adopted rules compared to a cross-country race in Winter. Never the less the International Competition Rules are valid for competions wit skiroller too. Here are the most important additional rules:
- Approved cycling helmets and eye protection must be worn. (ICR 396.2.6)
- Rollerski sport equipment must be available as a commercially produced product
that is available to the general public. (396.2.1)
- Shoes or ski boots have to be fixed on the Rollerskis with a Cross-Country binding. (396.2.7)
- Skating is not permitted for the first 70 m after the start. (296.8.1.2)
For the main competition (50km/30 km) & "Climb the Goas"
- the price awards of the bonus spinrts and the awards for the "RingQueen"/"RingKing" are just paid to the athletes, how finish the race regularly.
- the rollskis can be choosen free. Limits are set by international rules: the distance between the axles must be not less than 530 mm and the diameter of the wheels must not be more than 100 mm. (ICR 396.2.3 und IWO 396.2.4)
General rules for the competitions
- Everyone is allowed to take part at the race.
- All athletes must establish an insurance which also covers the risk of a competition
- The organizers and organizing clubs take no responsability for any accidents, even against Third
